Lush Fighting Animal Testing!

Lush Fighting Animal Testing!

One of my favourite cosmetic brands Lush has just launched a brand new campaign to stop the testing of cosmetics on animals.

This is something that needs to be addressed and I am now making a concious effort to spread the word and avoid certain companies that do test on animals. I hope you will do the same :)

Despite legislation passed in the EU in 1993, companies can still test on animals!! Ca-ray-zee!!

Testing on animals is unnecessary as their are other ways that are just as affective! Sign the petitionHere!

I will no longer be using these products or blogging about these companies until they are cruelty free.

Hey guys,
I've gone on a complete Paraben frenzy.
The aim of my mission to rid parabens completly from all my products that I use!

I have always known that parabens are not good to you but it has come to my attention how dangerous they really are, and that there are a variety of wonderful Paraben Free products out there on the market.

Disclaimer: Now, I do not claim to be a scientist or a dermatological expert, I am just trying to raise awareness of what ingredients are in the public's everyday cosmetics.

When I go shopping for cosmetics and skin care many factors come into place, How much is it? Does it smell/look nice? Does it work? ....I have never had to think, Will this give/contribrute to cancer? But now I do.
Parabens have been found to mimic estrogen, a hormone known to play a role in the development of breast cancer. Parabens found in underarm deodorants and other cosmetics can migrate into breast tissue and contribute to the development of tumors.

Methylparaben which is a chemical that is put into a lot of cosmetic products which acts as a anti-fungal agent. It also have been scientifically proven to age the skin (ironic how it is in a lot of anti-aging creams!) when exposed to UVB rays. I was shocked when I checked my daily face cream and it had this ingredient. I had been putting this chemical all over my face everyday for 5 years!!

Check how safe your products are on this website-
